Brooder/Coop Poop, Feed and Water Holders Questions

We are keeping them inside as long as we can and then we are going to move them out to a HUGE "shed" in the back yard. I would like to do hanging feeder and waterer's there, and can attach a pulley to the ceiling to raise the feeders at night. It's right next to the hose, so refilling a larger water holder won't be a huge deal, but I'd rather not do it twice a day if I can help it...if I can't, then I will do it obviously.

With the 5 gallon feeders, how many would I need for 40 birds? I guess I could do a 5 gallon and a couple tough feeders to make sure they each get the feeding room they need?

I'm trying to find them a kiddie pool to move into for their next brooder.

Thanks!

The 25 lb hanging feeders work great especially if you have a couple of trough feeders to go with them. In my tractors that's what I use.... 1 25 lb feeder and 2 48" trough feeders and that will feed 90 birds all day.

I go through about 10 gallons of water on hot days. Always plan for the hot, that way your not filling waters every 4 hours or so.

Okay so it sounds like if I did a 5 gallon bucket feeder (I'm not sure how many pounds that holds) and one 4 foot trough feeder, with a 5 gallon water holder too, I might be ok with feeding once per day and refilling water in the AM when I feed and at night when I remove food...that seems doable.

Thanks for the info
