ok these are just ruff designs can people please comment and improve them sorry about poor quality and sorry its so big just otherwise it looks silly or you can read the writing i can resize if needed tho

ok the first one is a plasic box with air holes it will have more stuff but this is just the basics

the second one is a hamster cage that will be changes for chicken needs again just basics

i havnt chosen mesurements but its only going to be for four chicks so meduim-big since we may get more but this batch is only four

any comments improvements and suggestions are welcome again sorry for poor quality

Hi chickengirl, if you go to the coop and run design and construction under the index you will see some much easier nesting boxes and read a lot of very good advice for newbies. Your hen will get off the nest to eat and drink and stretch her legs. You did a very good job drawing the pics for the brooder. Just take a look at the many ideas that are actually in use from experienced chicken owners. You sure are on the right track. When you get your chickens be sure to post pics of them as we love seeing chicken pics and the wonderful job their owners do housing them.
 
Hey, Chickengirl. Did you see the very first thread in the raising baby chicks section? It has tons of pics of people's brooders. Your plastic one should be fine, but I'm thinking the hamster cage will be outgrown very quickly.
