Brooder Lamp Beeping?

Maybe a little dust on the lamp or a pine shaving got to warm??

That's what I was wondering.
Is lamp brand new?
Sometimes manufacturing materials burn off at first.

Not brand new. Lightly used and recently pulled it out of a small vacant coop I use as a brooder. There is light dust on the hood. Since I've raised up of the ducklings a bit, the detector hasn't gone off

i use a flat panel from tractor supply its so much safer. it can be used as a brooder so the chicks can get under it or it can stand upright and they like next to it. it doesnt fall over or anything.

If a little dust gets on the 250w bulbs, the dust burns off and creates a smell especially if they have been sitting for awhile or by using a dimmer to turn the bulb up and down. I can smell the dust burning myself and I can see the fire alarm detecting it. Maybe you can't smell it for some reason.
