What type of light does everyone use for there heat, does color matter? Around what temp do you keep it at? Inside or outside this time of year? Yes I am a newbe, thanks LOL

I use a 250 watt red bulb. Red is supposed to help cut down on pecking at each other. I keep mine at 100 the first week and drop 5 degrees per week until it is at outside temp. If you can keep inside right now i would. Mine are in my garage but i have a/c out there otherwise the temp gets really high during the day. Inside the relative temp will stay the same making it easier to control temp in the brooder.
