Hello all!

I’ve been non stop showing my friends and family the pics of the brooder I built and the chicks I bought - needless to say they are sick of it lol. So I thought I’d post them here to get it out of my system ;) lol

Wow! you went all out! you can probably use this for other animals if you wanted to too! Like Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, just cut a little door on the side and add a ramp. You can even have the little chicks go outside on the grass a couple hours a day if you do that. So they can get back in and out as they please! :bun

Thank you all!

Yeah I built the brooder in an afternoon and I’m quite happy with it.

As far as types of chicks I’m not 100% sure as I didn’t see the adults. The owner of the chicks gave me 6 and told me what they were.

He said the black and brown chicks were americaunas but I’m sure you guys would know better than me(help! Lol).

The other two I know are true to be what he says

2 Chanteclers and
2 silikies

Also what is a bsl?!

I got them Saturday and my girlfriend and I watch them constantly lol

They are now only two weeks old and I feel like they might outgrow my brooder before the next two weeks lol. I took a few pictures of baby chicks just being baby chicks - I also added a sort of ladder/roost posts for them and they use them a lot which is cool.

The little brown one (blue) is delayed in size and feather progress because she had a bad case of both pasty butt(twice) and a sour crop which I medicated and she is looking good.
