Brooder on Craigslist

LOL, Hubby just looked at it and said "That's Fugly! I could build you something much prettier for a quarter of the price!". But I do like the Idea of this one. Not that I would ever need to brood 360 chicks, LOL.

I don't like the part about transferring so you don't have to handle chicks. Who wouldn't want to handle chicks?!

I would love that brooder! NOT for that price though but I love the concept!

Yah I thought that was strange, but I guess of you are hatching that many at a time, it's not because you love to play with the fuzz butts, it's more business like.

One must hatch a lot of chicks to make this worth while. It is still too much money, I think. I'll stick with my large rubbermaid container.

I personally think 120 chicks up to 3 weeks of age but be to many per bay. But, I do like the brooder, I think it's really nice. But, it can be built much cheaper. I think I'll show it to my husband.

Yep, I'll be sticking to my rubbermaid for my chicks, and my Pack and Play crib for my ducklings, they haven't failed me yet! But if I ever decide to hatch more than 20 eggs at a time, I may look into building something like this.

Tell him to keep his $120 wheels, and youll give him $200 for all that plywood, and $50 for the hinges, screws, and other metal.

Seriously, he thinks the best feature are his "$120 casters" . . .

That thing could be built for around $100-$150, depending on your preference in materials.
