Brooder question, pine shavings and puppy pads.

Oh and I use puppy pads to cover the top of Mama heating pad. SO much easier to clean the brooder!! I was using old pillow cases but the chicks weren't getting enough heat. Puppy pads (cut in half) seem to be just fine! I am finding that this is a lot of trial and error.
