Brooder Sanitation?

What do you do with your brooder in between
chick batches? I had mine in a dog crate for about two weeks, with sides lined with cardboard. I'll bleach out the bottom tray and clean feeder and waterer well, but can I get away with using the same cardboard? Both batches were/will be day old hatchery chicks, and batch 1 is now 6 weeks and healthy, no issues.

I use a a 100 gallon plastic stock tank. In between batches in the summer time it serves as a "swimming pool" for my dogs. About a week before I get chicks I give it a rinse down with a bleach solution, rinse it a few times, and then let it air day in the sun for a few days.
