I have another container twice that size ready for them!

It looks good!
What do you have for a lid? Hardware cloth works very well, you can bend it to fit over the top.
Have you run your brooder plate yet? My new one was too hot last spring, i had to get the separate temperature regulator for it. Make sure that it's not too hot to have your hand on the underside; mine was 120F, too much!

Looks great! However, you will need to upgrade to a larger container in a couple weeks, if not sooner. They grow so darn fast

I would suggest a lid. they will be able to get out quickly and make a huge mess! I start with a tub like this with hardware mesh stapled to some 2x2 as a lid. This way nobody gets stabbed when removing the lid and its easier to maintain.

Brooder plate tight to one end turned the other way.....feed and water at opposite end on paver stones. This tote offers 8+ sq feet of floor space, the frame fits snug over both ends so it is secured
