Brooder setup help (pics)

I moved a chair over and clamped the light to it then zipped tied it from the other bracket. How's this? Too far away now?
Should I move the roosts?

I ordered 9 total from two different breeders. 5 silkies, 2 bantam lav ameraucanas and 2 bantam splash cochins.
I got 5 silkies (one day shipping from FL woot!) 2 bantam lav ameraucanas and 3 dead chicks

I have to encase the entire cage in cardboard held on my zip ties because I caught my cat stalking them and chittering. That little turd had her paw in the cage even! I took one out so she could smell it and it cheeped and jumped and she ran like hell!! LOL
