I don’t know Cindy, I’ve never used one. I made a heater for seed germination out of plywood, aluminum foil, and old Christmas tree lights. From a quick look at them I’m not sure how much heat they actually put out, I don’t think it’s a lot. You’d have to buy the thermostat as an extra. If you brood indoors in controlled temperatures yeah, I think it would work. If you brood outdoors in below freezing temps like I do, I think that would be a stretch. But I don’t know.
