Ideally, how big should a brooder be for three chicks (About three days old)? We are using paper towels for bedding because they tried to eat the shavings once or twice. What should you put in the brooder for them to pick on?

Your brooder won't need to be too big for the first few days....but big enough for it to be heated on one side and not heated on the other. Which allows them to cool of if needed.
That being said, they grow very fast.

You don't want them so cramped up they won't be able to get away form each other.

Paper towels for the first few days can be good...I've always used shavings on one side and dirt from my yard on the other.
