Hello
I will be getting 35 baby chicks in a couple of days. What is the smallest size of brooder box can I use for the first couple of weeks. What is the best temperature should the brooder be at.

I'd do 2 brooders to reduce risk of crushing and trampling deaths. Minimum size maybe 4x4 each brooder the first week, but you'll need to increase the space after that. If the coop is ready to go and you don't have adult birds, you could just brooder them out in the coop by sectioning off a smaller part at first, and then by 1 1/2 to 2 weeks they can have the whole space.

When you say "best temperature" are you talking hotter areas or cool areas? They need both, so maybe 90F in the hotter area with at least half the brooder closer to 60 or 70.
