brooder temp?

Quote:
Day one through 7 should be between 95/90 degrees. You should have a thermometer in the brooder to regulate the temperatures until you learn by the chicks' behavior where the heat lamp should be. The temps decrease by five degrees each week, so you'll want to raise up the heat lamp incrementally until you get to the desired temperature.

This link is an invaluable resource for the new chick owner: http://www.mypetchicken.com/backyard-chickens/chicken-care/guide-toc.aspx and this page in particular should help you out with some of these types of questions: http://www.mypetchicken.com/backyard-chickens/chicken-care/chapter-4-caring-for-baby-chicks.aspx

The
Learning Center link up at the top of these pages is a great place to find answers to these types of questions too:

Good luck and enjoy!!
