I got my silkie chicks @ TSC on Saturday, and I'm not 100% sure how old they are. They can't be more than a week old, but I don't know for sure. Anyways, when the brooder temp is at 90* they seem like it's really warm, and they spread way out away from the light. So I had it at about 80-85* and they seemed much more comfortable in that temp. Is that ok? I mean, I know it's best to go by how they act, but I'm scare of losing one to it being too cold or something. I already lost one to what I think was too much heat. So now I just am so nervous about the temp in there! Any ideas? Should I just leave it at what they seem comfortable in?

ITs all about what they are comfortable in. If they are moving about freely at 85 then thats fine
