Just made my brooder for 10 baby ducks... Any suggestions?

:welcome!

This is for ducks? May I ask what the little ramp is for? And the little elevated dowel? I don't know how big it is and it's hard to make out a scale, but I'm not seeing a place that the feeder and waterer will easily fit.

Plus wood is absorbent, and ducks are very wet and messy, so wood is maybe not the best material for ducks. Will you have a liner in it?

It may be a bit overboard, just had a lot of free time this week haha. I’m still thinking about where the food and water will go. Will probably put a small tarp down. What do you think?

The dowel and other things are to keep them active and busy.

Welcome to BYC, Frank! I don't think ducks perch on things like dowels (Do they perch at all? Correct me if I'm wrong, duck-wise people). So those look like mini road blocks to me instead of enrichment.

Common Ducks do not perch. Muscovy Ducks do perch but only as adults. Ducks are very messy and will destroy your lovely setup. I also kept my ducklings on wire mesh or in a kiddie pool with wire mesh wrapped around it. I would also suggest coming up with a water catcher. A simple wire mesh over a paint roller pan works great.

Your setup would be perfect for chicks! (Chickens)

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. Only 7 more days till their due date!
