Sorry if I've posted in the wrong area but has anyone ever used a

before? Could use some info before I pull the trigger. Thanks!
I recommend you just use a cardboard moving box with a heat lamp. Its alot cheaper and works just as well as that.

Thanks. I have an adequate setup currently. What I would like to move to is a setup that I dont have to constantly monitor and be home for in case of fire. This has heat controlled with a thermostat and auto water/feeder so I can not worry so much about anything happening while I'm at work.

I spoke with them not too long ago. Their brooder is not snake proof so it won't do much good here. I was impressed with their design and would use it for chicks if I had a snake-proof area to brood in. Their response to me was very prompt and thorough.

Been using this thing for a week or two now. It's been amazing.

I know some friends that use a simple box made from 2x4s and plywood for a brooder outside. Doesn't look the prettiest but I'm pretty sure it's snake proof.

This is housed in my dining room currently. It has anti microbial material which is nice too. I mostly like the heated area.

Oh, nice :thumbsup I keep going back to that website. If I could get away with a dining room brooder like you ..... :fl

Meanwhile I'm still designing my snake proof brooder and grow out pens in my imagination. The rat snakes around here will kill and attempt to eat anything my chicks under 16 weeks. A lot of times they can't eat them and just leave them dead for me to find. :he

I know what you mean. I was too scared to even leave my house because I dont want it to burn down and kill my other animals lol. I figured the expense was worth the safety.
