Greetings and I hope someone can help me out with this one, my little Cochin hen has been on the nest now for 8 days now, rarely drinks, rarely eats. We know that is normal, but she has not been off the nest at all. Leaving me to check her out today and the wreched odor, I kicked her off the nest, put her on the floor to drink and eat while I cleaned up.
She proceeded to give a noisy foul odored stool. It was very oily with a soft oozing stool... What is this?
I put her into different quarters with the eggs, water, food and tomorrow I'll clean her bottom with giving her a bath.
What would you call this, and what should I do.
