Broodies are fired

My two silkies left 7/8 of their chicks outside in the dark. They aren't smart enough to teach them to use the ramp apparently (it's not even a big ramp)

I just got home and could hear them cheeping for their moms from the street.

My other hens have taught their babies to use the ramp even if it took all evening showing them how to go up it.

I will seriously consider not letting them have chicks again.

Yep they are fine. They came running to me when I shined a flashlight on them. I have to wonder if it got dark sooner than they could get them in so they just didn't know what to do. The chicks at least were all hiding under the coop.

I was worried! Good thing they are all right! I thought Silkies were supposed to be GOOD moms though.
