Broodies on eggs? Broodies with babies? Post here.

i asked this on my own thread but no one answered.... so i will try here.... when will she start to lay again after her babies hatch? her chicks are two and three days old now.... i don't expect it to be tomorrow but i was just wondering. thanks

All hens are different but from my girls...I have 1 hen who raises her babies to about 5 weeks and begins to lay again...I have one girl who raised her chicks to 7 weeks before laying again.

It all depends I guess...I have noticed however in the warmer days...They will lay sooner after hatching chicks then in colder days.

Like in spring/summer they will lay sooner.
In fall/winter they will take longer.

Someone eles may have more advice but this is from my knowladge of my own girls.
