On the side of a cliff? Oh my! She's determined!Entry #1
My 9 year old game hen "Momma Hen" and her first clutch of the season hatched January 7th. The old bat went broody in a rock cliff on the side of the hill that I could not get to, to break her up.

Wow, she sounds like my hen Valerie, but to a more determined extreme! My Valerie just will never leave the nesting box, even if she's not truly broody. Your hen will go wherever to hatch!Entry #2
Momma is at it again, clutch #2 that hatched a week ago. She will more than likely go broody two more times this year. I've learned with this hen there is no breaking her up. If we succeed in one spot she finds another more out of the way spot. Her mission in life is to populate the world with more chickens.
