Here's our newest "expectant" mother out for her daily stroll and dust bath. She's about half way into her first week, so she's got a while yet but she has the attitude of a good mom. On top of that I've got a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte in the coop who is trying to convince me she wants in on the mothering action too. (She makes it VERY clear too by screaming at the top of her lungs from the nest box every time someone goes into the coop.) It'll probably be the broody buster for her if constantly pulling her off her nest won't break her. Anyone else have soon-to-be mommas?
