Depends on individual hens, my two Sussex 1 & 2 year olds never went broody yet. One of my leghorn that was Not supposed to go broody went broody on me. One of my 6 month old Australorps went broody after her first month of laying.
You just can never tell, now I want one of them to go broody since I have clutches of fertilized eggs, non went broody so far, reason I bought an incubator.

Yes, it's quite likely. We have a flock of Light Sussex hens and they have gone broody numerous times. They are also very good mothers, in my experience!

She won't go broody until she's older, though.
