It has been so crazy hot here I am nervous to leave them in a dog cage. But it is going to cool down in a few days.
When I put them in a crate how long should I leave them? 5 days?

So they are still broody after 2 months(when you started this thread)?
If they have water, good shade, and maybe a frozen water bottle, they'll be fine.
