Broodiness of Olive eggers

Since Olive Eggers are a cross between a blue egg layer and a dark brown egg layer, I guess it depends on the parent birds used.

Keep in mind that even breeds that are not known for it, will some times go broody. I have a Red sexlink hen that has set her mind on hatching some eggs.

Mine is inclined to go broody if she sees more than a couple eggs together. In fact we just did a successful adoption of three week old chicks after she's set awhile - she really wanted to be a mom! Before that, she kept wandering around making her "chick call" noises to imaginary chicks. Confused the heck out of our Barred Rock who would run over every time, only to be chased off!
