Broodiness questions

That crate is a medium and she's a bantam, so it's probably a little misconcieving. She's got a little more room than what's necessary in there.

What are the dimensions on your crate? If you have a LF hen, you may want at least a medium.

She will need the hardware cloth (or something similar that feet don't go through) so she can move around properly in the crate without hurting her feet and legs.
I have a small crate which she just fits in with a little room to turn around in. All my hens are large breed. And I have a large dog crate, that I had 3 baby goats in with room to spare

The cage doesn't have to be TOO big. But she should have enough room to move around a bit, with space for food and water where it won't get knocked over easily. If the small cage you have feels too tight, I'd try the bigger one. And she'll need to stay in there until she passes the "test" and stops returning to the nest box.

This crate is 24"L x 18"W x 21"H

I moved here the big crate I will have to measure both of them, I think the small one is a bit tight for her to move around with the water and feed in there
Whatever you have room for should work, as long as the wire bottom is good for feet.
Feed and water can be a problem, the cage cups work great and already being accustomed to horizontal nipples makes a waterer easy.
