brooding birds together?

i am brooding barred rocks they will be 3 weeks when i have day old chicks arriving!

after a day or two can i brood them all together?

I think if you were to try this, you might wan to have a screen between the 2 groups. It allows both groups to get used to the other, but when you remove the screen, watch for awhile to see what they will do. There is quite a size difference, and you don't want anyone picked on. Hopefully this helps, but I hope even mor ethat someone else comes along and offers some more advice!

Watch the size difference, the new comers will want to sleep and the older ones will step on them. Put them together slowly and see how they act, if the big ones are bullying the little ones, it's time to brood them separately. I've brooded birds together with a few weeks difference but you just have to keep an eye on them for the first few days.
