In Two of my chickens, Kentucky and Aretha, they seem to always make the brooding sound, even when they're not broody. Kentucky has been one of our most broody birds, so she may have become accustomed to that sound, but Aretha has never been broody. When I try to pet or pick Aretha up she makes a weird broody noise. Can someone hep me with why she's making that sound?

Can you get some video so we can hear her?
Videos need to be uploaded to youtube, or similar platform, then linked here.

The noise isn't so cheerful... lol
Whenever I go to try to pick her up she makes the noise.

She could be considering brooding and doesn't want to be disturbed. My broody hens will go through a pre-phase where they are contemplating it but not fully engaged. They'll make those warning clucks then too.

My phone broke during the lock down, so I can't record it. But she just makes the noise a broody bird does when you try to get the eggs. lol
