The Chicks we got 4 weeks ago are just getting too big for their brooder! So we build a coop in the outside chicken pen Which was a long time coming we just hadn't got around to it. but now its built we are going to move their lamp and shavings in the coop and let them out during the day! Don't worry its Texas so its always hot! They shouldn't have too much trouble keeping warm. This is the first time we will be letting them live outside any suggestions or tips for me? thanks guys

They should be fine, especially if you've had the light off indoors for a while, and if you've had them outside for short trips. Enough shavings to snuggle into should be all they need. They are ore resilient than some thnk.

Many of us will not brood in the house at all. Actually, its not recommended by the large hatcheries.

I had them in the garage and it was fine but their brooder is too small now! So the ducks and chicks will be moved to the outside coop! no bigger chickens there so I dont think we will have problems
