Broody age?

How old does a hen need to be for her to even begin to think about going broody? Especially the ones that tend to go broody real easy. Do they tend to become broody at an earlier age than everyone else or just more frequent?

I've had hens go broody right after they started laying. My game hens go broody at least twice if not more a year. It can be

stressful!

I've had my Orphingtons go broody at 8 months, it was pretty sucsessful too.
