Is it raised up off the floor? Wetting her belly might help, I assume its hotter than the dickens down there. Some folks use a fan blowing under crate in hot situations. Might want to give her a dose of electrolytes too.

I'd hesitate to do this, drastic temp changes can be a shock to their systems.
It took just a few days of her being in the broody cage and she's not puffed up or clucking. I let her out early this morning. And will keep an eye on her today. She was happy to come out and be with her friends..

Each broody is different, but in general, the longer they've been broody, the longer it takes to break them. This has to do with hormone levels. Sometimes it's a few days and sometimes longer. Good luck with her! You've gotten some great tips already but just wanted to add this info too.

Not saying I brought one inside and popped her in the freezer for a few hours to chill out! :lau:lau:lau

Just sharing that I had better luck breaking a Broody by bringing her into air conditioning than any other methods I’d ever tried.....

and with one of my buffs— a frequent flier in the Broody category— I tried everything!

My girl Laverne is doing good she's back to normal. I just hope she doesn't do this again. In a couple weeks. But I am ready if she does. I cleaned and disenfected the broody cage today..
