Broody breaking experiment: "The bunny cage method"

I'd love to hear more from you about this! Any pics? When this experiment is over I'll be making an article about it and it would be great to have more sources!
I just kept them in a rabbit cage during the day and returned them to the flock to roost at night. Then I block the entrance to the roll away nest box at night. In the morning I open the nest box back up and if they return to it right away, back in the cage.

I have a hen who went broody yesterday. I am going to put her in the dog cage today and see if she will come out of it. I have always picked the broody one in the box up, some times many a day. I will check back in and let you know who long it takes.

My broody hen(Dolores) spend most of the day yesterday in cage. She was not happy. She escaped once while I was trying to fix the heat lamp(used for the little chicks). She knocked it down and sat on it. It was off. In the afternoon I began to suspect that my hen Clara was beginning to be broody. Today both Delores and Clara were sharing the nest box. I put them both in the wire cage. Delores will be be quiet. She does a call like showing others food. Meanwhile, I think my hen Betty is thinking about laying again as she is spending less time in yard with her legbar chicks and going into coop during the day.
Picture of wire cage with both hens imprisoned.
