My cinnamon hen that hasn't laid for 2months not only started laying 2 days ago but today I saw her trying to roll an egg into the wooden house. Unfortunately she was trying to get it through the window part which has a little ledge instead of through the door. I rolled it over to the door and she rolled it in the house. So I gave her 2 more and she rolled them in. She has been in there all day and now the male has joined her for the night. If she gets serious how many eggs can a button hen sit on? If she's going to hatch chicks I'd like her to hatch some of my red breasted cinnamons.

My Button Hen sat on eggs.. The male helped too. Which I have heard dont happen very often. But not sure if it is true. Ive only owned Buttons for about 5 months.. She stopped sitting after about the 15th day.. Bummer. I didnt even have an incubator at the time to put them in.. So I lost them all. Checked the eggs and darn if there wasnt small babies in them. Maybe next time she will finish.. She was a new layer.. She was only laying for a month before she started to sit..

Good luck with your Button Mama to be..

Best of luck there is nothing better then watching them as a family. You do have to watch the males some will kill the babies I got lucky with mine
