Hi,
We have 8 Hens and one Bantam Pekin Rooster. All of them are about 8 months old. (Six out of the 8 hens laying)
Our Plymouth Rock hen has gone broody within the last week.
We were originally going to break her out of the broody cycle, but decided to let her hatch a few chicks.
We have given her four eggs laid by two of our regular sized Isa Browns that he think our rooster has fertilized.
But recently we have read that Bantam Roosters cant fertilize eggs laid by regular sized hens.
We are not really sure what to do and really just want to break our hen out of the broody cycle by letting her hatch chicks.
We are relatively new to the chicken world so any tips or advice would be much appreciated
Thank you very much.
