My chicken, who is currently broody, has been coming out more recently during the last few days (hopefully this is a sign that she is becoming less broody). Anyway, the 2 other chickens are pecking at the broody chicken constantly. This is strange because my broody chicken used to be top of the pecking order. Should I treat this situation like I would with introducing new chicken(s) to a flock?

Try not to interfere. Broodies are simply annoying and they tend to get pecked by the others. Don't worry, they can handle themselves.

I take it you have just been allowing her to work through her hormones without trying to break her. If she's been broody for three weeks, she may be about ready to return to normal.

If she's been incubating eggs, she will need her broody hormones and ornery disposition to protect her chicks if this is the case.

Next time you have a broody and you don't wish to have her hatch eggs, it only takes about three days to break a broody using the open mesh bottom cage method.
