Broody chicken that is violent!

I have a broody chicken, I have no rooster. I have tried picking her up to move her out to free range ( mostly just to steal the eggs). Every time she pecks at me and scratches. Advice?

Broody hens can be difficult to break. Basically, they need to be taken off the nest and enclosed over wire mesh - after a few days she will be good to go. Here's a link that might help. Good luck to you!
