Broody Chicken

My 3 year old chicken is broody I think. She sits down in the nesting box all day and is very moody. Should I break her cycle?

Do you want baby chicks? If yes, let her sit. If not, break her.

When a hen goes broody, she reduces the amount she eats which results in a lot of weight loss. It's pointless to let her sit if you do not want chicks.
