broody chickens

My Buff Orpingtons have been taking turns being partly broody with a chance of "setting-ness" for over a month now. No one has completely taken the plunge though. I have one in a kennel cab now on eggs, she's done this several times overnight but she loses interest by morning.

I had on BO PULLET go broody on me after just starting to lay at about 24 weeks old.... I was a little concerned about putting eggs under her being she was only a "young pullet" but she was very consistant for several days. I put 10 eggs under her... She has done an excellent job and hardly EVER gets off the nest for a quick bite of food and water then right back on the nest. She is due to hatch this Tuesday so we will see how she does
