Broody Coturnix quail hatched a chick!

It is very rare, but it does happen!!!
One of my Coturnix hens decided to sit on eggs, and managed to hatch one chick.

The mother quail accepted another four babies which I hatched in my incubator at the same time. There is only one day difference in the chicks' age.



She is a good, protective mum

I've been raising quails for years, this is the first time it happened!
I will keep the babies raised by mother hen, maybe the lost instinct comes back in the offsprings?
I wonder if this bird will do it again...
