One of my Crevecoeur's has gone broody and I'm tempted to spend $44 on some hatching eggs. Is this just wishful thinking and a waste of money, since Crevs rarely go broody and are known to be poor mothers? She is 9 months old and I have tried to break her broodiness, but she is persistent. This is my first flock and I have a few Polish chicks arriving May 4th, so the timing would be perfect to add a few more:)

OMG, you just made me remember that I have a Marsh Automatic Incubator from way back (1989), when I did classroom hatching! I just dug it out from the basement and it still works! It looks like a high quality incubator, so I think I could get positive results with it-- now that we have the internet:D! Have incubators changed much, or is this a reasonable back up plan?
