broody doesn't like her new nest:( help!

Mama went broody (her 1st time, and ours too), so we started putting other hens eggs underneath her as we had previously been collecting them daily. It was not an ideal setup in the coop so we tried moving her to the brooder last night. Not so slick, lost 3 eggs and she hasn't sat on them since (about 12 hours so far). She was on about day 4 of sitting with 6 eggs so far (now 3..). She's still making some broody noises, so we are going to leave her in the brooder for the time being and see if she returns to sitting on the little nest. If she doesn't, no biggie. If she does, how long can eggs sit out for at this point and still be viable? I know they can sit out the length of time it takes them to build a clutch, but since these ones had been sat on for up to 4 days, are they toast now?
I've read sometimes it takes a hen a while to settle in and return to sitting if she was upset with the move, but how long can that be? Hours, days? Would putting her back with the rest of the flock further disrupt her, or maybe she would go back to her original chosen box? Would it even make a difference? But then we would have to move her again and apparently we sucked at that lol. We are fine to replace the eggs, not hung up on the ones that are in there now, just hoping to maximize any chance there may be at saving this cycle hopefully without wasting too many new ones!

We may have fixed our problem...In her original spot in the coop, she took box #2 in the row of five. We found a line of identical boxes in the barn and put it in her brooder. She instantly took spot #2 of that row and is sitting on fresh eggs. Fingers crossed!
