Broody duck...should I give her a duckling?

Have the chickens met her? And do you have a secure area just in case a predator might try and snatch the duckling? I usually keel mine contained in a small fenced area until the ducklings are around 3 weeks old then mama can take them on to the half acre fenced they all forage on. But those three weeks everyone has been seeing the ducklings so when I let them out with the flock they are all use to them.

Hey everyone. Just another update. Duckling turned 2 weeks yesterday, getting very big...still doesn’t have a name but thinking Poppy, or Donut since I’ve gotten a picture of her grooming her tail downy feathers, curled in a little circle..We built them a run coming off their coop so they can come in and out as they please, and I’ve been letting them out to hang with the chickens in the big field (only under supervision), and the chickens don’t mess with them except one hen Snowbell, she’ll peck the duckling if she gets too close. Can’t wait to see what she’ll look like when she’s older with all that yellow downy fluff on her chest/belly.
