One of my Buff Orpingtons has gone broody. She steals all the other ducks eggs at night and sits on them. I have been fighting her for the eggs every day. She pinches my feet☺ should I keep on fighting her for the eggs. I do not have a drake. I thought I might get her some fertile eggs but I don't think Buffs are known for being good mothers.

If she is truly broody then even if you take her eggs it will take time for the hormones to go back to normal but no sense in her sitting on non fertile eggs so take all eggs and destroy the nest be sure to take eggs up daily.

Me too that is why I am practicing birth control this year with my flock all eggs are taken everyday and if they have to get over being broody that is what they do. I have a broody Muscovy right now sitting on nothing. lol

This was good advice. I broke down her nest and took away all the eggs she had gathered in the night first thing this morning and sent the gander in to chase her out. She stayed out with the flock all day but is making anew nest tonight. It will just be a battle of wills every morning. I finally found another use for the gander! Yeah.
