Broody ducks

Pekins can go broody but many of them do not. That quality has not been a focus for the breed.

Okay, so if a pekin female hatched eggs, and raised them would that mean the offspring could have a hi chance on going broody?
That's a good question. I personally would think that known broodies would be more likely to produce better broodies but that's not necessarily a guarantee. Broodiness is also determined by hormones.
