Broody Experts needed..

That's great....I love my Broody Hens....Knock on wood no one goes Broody again till next spring.....:fl

I was trying to keep my hen from going broody, but... She went broody on a single egg so I just went "Ahh, go ahead" and plopped some of the collected eggs from 4 days before infront of her, which she happily rolled under herself. :p I am glad I did so or else I would have probably eaten those eggs that hatched the blue silkies.

Cool....I love my Chicks I raise myself too...Way more special than hatchery Chicks and seam so much stronger and independent with Momma Hen.....

Just wanted to update everyone on Einstein's condition. So she spent the nights inside on Thursday and Friday in an elevated rabbit pen, going out to a separated run during the day next to her flock mates and free ranging for 2 hours 9n both those nights. By Saturday, she was acting like her old normal self, even had her "baby" voice back. She went straight to the roost, and has yet to get into the nesting box.
I am so glad to have her back to normal. She is feeling much better and so am I.
Thank you all for the advice!!
