Hello Everyone,

I have a goose that is broody and she has been sitting on eggs for about 3-4 weeks now. I check her eggs when she got off the nest to eat and the eggs are not fertile. They have nothing in them! I have had chickens for many years and anytime I have had an issue with my chickens eggs not being fertile I would just sneak some baby chicks under the hen. Can I do the same with the goose? I have access to some goslings that I can sneak under her. Would this work?

Thanks!

. I know many people who have tried this. Geese seem to be more open to babies of various species. There is a chance she will reject them but there's a good chance it will go fine.

Hey Thanks for the quick reply and the welcome!

I have been raising chickens for a long time, but I am new to geese! I actually joined BYC for the first time in 2000 when it was the original under ezboards. I was an active member for about 10 years and then when I went to college I stopped getting on the website! Looking forward to new beginnings.
