she hatched two white leghorn eggs and 1 thats either a rhode island red or a golden comet egg. they are now getting alot of brown coloring they just turned a week old. the two roos that could be the father are a pure white rock and a pure white leghorn, any ideas why they have the brown . maybe the white rock has something to do with it.
 
White leghorns are what genetics indicate as 'white dominant'. This means that ALL chicks of a white leghorn parent will be completely white except for a tiny spot of brown or black here or there. White rocks are not white dominant. I suspect the chicks are form the Rock.
 
thanks. when they hatched 2 were looking like pure leghorns with a couple black specs and the 3rd chick was a more yellow chick now they all look the same with the brown around the wings and back feathers.
