Broody hatching eggs soon...couple of questions...

Thank you so much for everybody's help and support! It's just the one chick still... hoping the other one will hatch as it for sure made it to day 17, but I'm very happy that at least one hatched! Just for fun, here a picture of the new chick, Lulu.

The new chick and hen are doing great!! Now I'm concerned about the other egg...day 24 and no pip! What should I do? Should I still hope that it will hatch? At one point during incubation, the eggs were chilled for about an hour, but I candled them after that and they were fine. Maybe that delayed the hatching of egg #2???

Possibly died?...Momma still setting to hatch?
 
I don't like the look of the large dip in the dark area. You could try a float test and see if there's any movement.

It's probably time for mamma hen to transition from setting to getting up and caring for the chick. If she continues to set and ignores the chick, be prepared to care for it yourself.
