Broody hen, 3 week old chicks!

Sooo one of our hens went missing for four days. We caught her late at night trying to sneak food from our garage, and to prevent her from leaving again we just kept her locked up in the garage. Came out and saw she had gotten cozy next to my two/three week old chicks… soooo I opened the door. just wanted to supervise how it would go?
She has never laid on eggs or had chicks before.

Here are the results...

They have never seen an adult chicken before, I got them from the farm supply store. They’re still very skidish of her and she’s a little jumpy by them too. She picked one chick that got up in her face wanting to fight- and that was gentle.

Currently, a hen that adopted two chicks and raised them for me last August has adopted my current baby chicks. It has taken several weeks for this to happen in the past, but this time, she adopted the chicks right away.

You can get chickens to bond if you slip them in at night,
if they are older I give them to a hen at night, (enclosed if I can) and take them away during the day, a few nights in the row, that works.
I gave this hen an only older chick and they bonded.
