Just wanted to share as I am pretty tickled with myself and my broody hen. Last night I snuck a couple of guinea keets under her hoping she would accept them. After a nail biter of a night, I went down to the coop at first light find them happily tucked up under mama!
I was nervous because I've never let my hens hatch eggs before, so none of them is "proven" as a mother yet, and there are lots of horror stories out there! Also Sally has only been broody for 4 days, AND these aren't even the same species as her. But she's doing great! I have 6 more keets which I will put under her tonight.
